The set of Pippin featured a trap door with a hinged dirt mound, allowing an actor to poke their head through from below. This mound could be removed to accommodate the fire pit scene. The set also included multiple custom-built metal arches, adding to its unique visual design. The main staircase was constructed on a rolling platform equipped with air casters for easy mobility. Additionally, the set incorporated two kabuki drop boxes for dramatic curtain reveals.
